Announcing the Germany & Me launch, a blog documenting a move from Singapore to Germany, with practical experiences on relocation, paperwork, family life and settling in.

I had been toying with the idea of starting this website for a little while, but last week I finally decided to go ahead with it. Once I started, I wanted to get it up and running fairly quickly. The main reason was simple: I wanted to start documenting things while they were actually happening instead of months later, when I’d already forgotten half the details.
Over the past week, I’ve been building the site, figuring out how I wanted to organise everything and getting the basics in place so I could start writing and posting. There are still things I’ll tweak, pages I’ll add and plenty I haven’t figured out yet, but that feels quite fitting. The site is very much a work in progress — just like the move itself.
And now that it’s live, I can finally get on with the part I actually wanted to do in the first place: write, post and document everything as it happens.
So, here we go.
